What Grants Are Available?

£7,500 grant toward the cost of installing an air source or ground source heat pump in England and Wales

ECO4 Scheme

Offers fully funded heat pump installations for eligible low-income households or those in fuel poverty .

Region-Specific Support

  • Scotland: Up to £10,000 via Warm Homes Scotland

  • Wales: Nest grants for low-income homeowners/renters

Who’s Eligible?

  • Boiler Upgrade Scheme (England/Wales):

    • Owner-occupiers replacing a fossil fuel system

    • Valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

    • One grant per property 

  • ECO4:

    • Households on means-tested benefits (e.g., Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Income Support) 

    • Properties with low EPC ratings (usually D–G) 

    • Tenants may apply with landlord consent

  • Scotland & Wales:

    • Scottish homeowners eligible via Warm Homes criteria

    • Homeowners/private renters in Wales via Nest
